For the longest time I never talked about the paranormal activity I was experiencing. In fact, it wasn’t until I was about 22 years old that I felt comfortable talking about the experiences I have had. I have always been curious about my happenings, but this was during a time when it was not normal and you could be looked at like a freak. My first experiences started when I was around 10. I would get up in the morning, walk down the hallway toward the living room and someone (a female voice) would call my name from back down the hall. Not thinking anything of it, I would head back down the hall assuming that the voice would be that of the only female in the house (my mother). In most cases, my mother was either not in the house at all or she was in a different part of the house and did not call out to me. This happened almost on a daily basis.

It wasn’t until I was about 12 or 13 years old that I realized what I was hearing was not just my imagination. I remember waking up in the middle of the night and heading out to the kitchen for a glass of water. When I turned to fill my glass, a light from down the hall caught my attention. I instantly froze as I watched a glowing lady in white walk throw my parent’s bedroom doors. She stopped, turned to look at me, flashed me a smile, and continued on her way down the hall. The look she gave me made me feel safe and warm like when a mother hugs her young child. I felt so safe that I curled up in the middle of the living room floor and fell asleep. It is hard to express to people the feelings that I felt or justify my actions afterward, but that night changed everything for me. Not only did I get to see my first full body apparition, but this was just the beginning of my experiences. After that night, I never heard my name being called out again and it was the last time I would see the lady in white.

From there on out, I have had experiences in every house I have lived in. I have seen reflections of children, had objects lifted and thrown in front of me, seen a creature that I can only describe as a demonic figure, I have been touched, grabbed, whistled at, talked to, and even had my life saved by someone that wasn’t there. My experiences have helped me see that there is something out there that I cannot ignore. Sometimes I feel that maybe I am more sensitive than most or maybe my experiences have just opened my eyes and trained me to notice things in my surrounding.

It really wasn’t until my sister-in-law introduced me to a new show (at the time) called Ghost Hunters that I felt intrigued to ghost hunt. I was instantly drawn to this show and the stories that these people were sharing. I started telling my family some of the experiences I have had and my interest in doing what the guys on the show did. My wife, sister-in-law, sister, and I formed a small group and did ghost hunts at our houses. We captured a ton of EVP’s and it provided me with some valuable experience and training that I use today.

A few short years later, with the help and support of some good friends and family, I formed an official paranormal group called Shadow Chasers. This was a great first step for our group, but we all wanted more.  To our surprise and luck, we found out that a good friend was a part of a group called Novus Luna. After a short talk with them, we dropped the Shadow Chasers name and happily merged as one under the Novus Luna name.
